In 2001 I decorated my first home and I was terrible at it! I had no idea what I was doing and with no one to help me (not even the internet), I made all the classic mistakes.
I chose paint colours that clashed with my carpets, went all matchy-matchy with my accent colours, created a bland home that lacked pattern and texture, and even ordered a sofa that wouldn’t fit around the stairwell.
